Brian Corrette, 77 of Berlin, Germany passed away at his home on October 2, 2025. He was born and raised in Lebanon, NH, the ninth and youngest son of George and Madeline Corrette. He often said that his parents set out to produce the perfect child and they were pleased when he finally arrived.

Brian grew up in Lebanon and attended Sacred Heart Primary School and was valedictorian of the class of 1966 at Lebanon High School. He completed undergraduate studies at Columbia University and earned his Ph.D. in Science from the University of Oregon. In 1980, Brian moved to Germany where he worked in Duesseldorf, Hamburg and Berlin becoming fluent in the German language. While in Hamburg, he met Petra Skiebe at the university, and she became the love of his life. They were married on December 6, 1990. On September 18,1994, their daughter Lea Madeline arrived and immediately became the center of their lives. Brian later chose to retire from his academic work to be a full-time parent, while Petra continued her career at the university. Brian was a great cook and an avid reader and passed along his love of good food and great books to his daughter, Lea. He frequently read to her on the bus as he took her to and from school in Berlin and tried new recipes with her at home.

Brian is survived by his soul mate and beloved wife Petra, his daughter Lea Madeline and her husband Pascal. He is also survived by his sister Betty Bonneau and her husband Bob of Canaan, NH and two brothers, Tim of Canaan, NH and Keith of Wheat Ridge, CO. and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was pre-deceased by his parents George and Madeline, two sisters Joyce Johnson and Janice Darling, and three brothers Robert (Bob), Bruce, and George (Jim).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Brian's name to a Huntington's Disease Foundation or a charity of one's choice. Due to Brian's unexpected death, services will take place in Berlin at the beginning of 2026.
