Fred E. Amell

South Royalton, VT — Fred E. Amell, 44 died unexpectedly Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at his home after working in his garden planting flowers.

He was born April 22, 1977 in Berin, VT the son of Sheldon V. and Nancy (Wood) Amell. He attended school in South Royalton graduating in 1996 from South Royalton High School.

Fred worked for 14 years driving a log truck for D.C.I. Sawmill in Royalton, VT. The last 8 years he has owned and operated his own property maintenance business, South Royal Line Mowing. The last few years he has been the caregiver for his parents.

He enjoyed planting flowers and auto racing. He was a New York Yankee's fan and enjoyed picking on Red Sox fans.

He is survived by his parents Sheldon and Nancy Amell and his grandmother Jeanette Amell all of South Royalton, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother Sheldon Amell, Jr. and his grandparents, Leslie and Nina Boles and Paul Amell, Sr.

A graveside memorial service will be held Friday, June 25, 2021 at 10am at the branch View Cemetery in South Royalton, VT.

Memorial contributions may be made to either the South Royalton Fire Dept. or the South Royalton Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 204, South Royalton, VT 05068.
