Gerald "Joe" Robert Lashua

Canaan, NH - It is with heavy hearts that the family of Gerald "Joe" Lashua, 87, of Canaan, NH, announce his passing on November 3, 2024 in his home surrounded by loving family. Joe was born on July 2, 1937 in Franklin, NH to the late Eben and Ethel (Hillsgrove) Lashua. Joe went to school in Canaan, NH and spent most of his career as the Enfield, NH Road Agent where he worked for 22 years. Joe married Barbara Camp on July 11, 1969 and they were married for 45 years. Joe loved hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, NASCAR, camping, and trips to Pittsburg, NH. Later in life he continued to love NASCAR, and a new passion of scratch tickets he shared with his grandson Travis. Joe was a small man in stature, but big in personality, heart, and strength. Preceding Joe in death are his spouse, Barbara, his brother Donald Lashua (Linda), his sister Helen (Lashua) Neily, and many friends. Joe is survived by his only son and caregivers Kevin Lashua (Nancy Moye); his beloved grandchildren, Travis Lashua (Paige) and Kaycee Lashua (Hunta Hawes); nieces Lisa Davis, Kathy Neily (Richie LaBounty), Shirley Neily and nephew Donnie Lashua (Leanne). Family and friends are invited to celebrate Joe's life at the Enfield Community Center on Sunday, December 1st from 1-3 PM. A private burial will be held in the spring.
