James Fielder Obituary

James Lee Fielder

Hartford, VT - James Lee Fielder, lovingly known as Jim, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025, just shy of his 82nd birthday. Born on June 15, 1943, in Paterson, New Jersey, Jim lived a full and hardworking life, defined by dedication to his family, a deep well of practical knowledge, and a spirit of quiet generosity.

Jim wore many hats throughout his life – farmer, auto mechanic, salesman, business manager, and business owner. His work ethic was unwavering, and no matter the job, he gave it his all. He was the kind of man who could fix just about anything and often did, not just for himself, but for anyone in need.

In retirement, Jim found joy in woodworking. With hands as skilled as they were kind, he crafted countless treasured pieces for family and friends – each one a lasting reflection of his love and care.

Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Carolyn K. Terrier; his daughters, Penny Gilbert Hughes and Kelly Murphy; his sister Joan Green; ten grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and many dear friends and extended family members whose lives were touched by his generosity and quiet strength. He is predeceased by his son, Richard Pecor Jr.; his brother Fred Fielder; and his parents.

Knight Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed in an online guestbook found at www.knightfuneralhomes.com
