Hartford, VT — Jeffrey M. Dawson, 62, died Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Southwestern Medical Center in Bennington, VT.

Jeffrey (Jeff aka Papa Jeffy) was born October 19, 1959, in Presque Isle, ME a son of George and Rachel (McGuire) Dawson. He graduated from Middleboro High School class of 1977. Jeff was married to Penni Kenison November 26,1983; they build their family in Plainfield, NH for a few years before moving to West Hartford, VT. Jeff worked as a Pressman and customer service management at Pompy Press, Winslow Printing, the Valley News, Whitman Communications and lastly at Puritan Capitol following their acquisition of Whitman. Jeff then took up driving for Green Mountain Messenger before retiring. Jeff and Penni then moved to Milton, VT for a short time before recently returning to Hartford.

Jeff enjoyed working on small projects and puttering around the house and yard. He was an avid fan of the Boston Celtics and spent many frustrating hours following them. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, but Jeff's greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren watching them play and grow, especially when vacationing with them in Wells, ME.

Jeff is predeceased by a brother, James 'Jim' Dawson, his father George 'Bill' Dawson, and mother, Rachel Dawson.

He is survived by his wife Penni Dawson of Wilder, a son Jason Dawson and his wife Kerry of Wilder; two grandsons, Aiden and Cole, a brother, Jon Dawson of Washington State, a niece, Amber Kenison, and nephews, Derek Kenison, Garrett Kenison, Richard Dawson, and Jeremy Dawson.

A visitation will be held Saturday, February 5th, 2022 from 2-4PM at Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction, VT. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Condolences may be expressed to Jeffrey's family in an online guestbook at www.knightfuneralhomes.com
