Joey was the #1 husband, father, son, brother, uncle, the best Papa, a Keene State graduate, proud Vietnam Veteran, scuba instructor, printer, volunteer firefighter, math and English teacher, Ouija board background designer, carpenter, candlemaker, lumber yard co-owner, softball coach, NEHSA volunteer, sailor, writer, prankster, artist, architectural genius, Red Sox and Patriots fan, black lab lover, crossword puzzler, rock collector, nose tweaker, sports car driver, the best fake magician, gave bunny ears in every photo and played shark in every pool, a master creme egg hider, an OK Scrabble player, created Pedro & Guadalupe, always had an extra plate at the dinner table and an extra gift under the Christmas tree, met friends everywhere he went, loved road trips with anyone, loved hiking the White Mountains and Cole Pond, could make anything into a hat, wore shorts in winter, ate cereal at night, hosted outrageous Halloween parties, loved going to the ocean with his grandkids, read history novels, wrote poetry and plays, listened to the Beach Boys and Lady Gaga, watched James Bond movies and loved the Minions, swam the Butterfly, family vacations were his favorite, he thought Taylor liked him the best, could say the Greek alphabet 3 times before a match burned out, ate banana splits for breakfast while watching the Macy's parade every Thanksgiving, always stole a piece of cake before it was served, was a great listener, always had your back, had the most genuine smile and contagious belly laugh, was a self-proclaimed Dorkbag, had a nickname for everyone, rode motorcycles, loved his Camaro, always "disguised" his voice on the phone, had a knack of making people feel instantly comfortable and welcome, told the same 2 horrible jokes, loved his canoes and Oday 22, liked to hold hands while driving, treated every day like a spectacular adventure, knew a little about everything, liked to correct everyone's grammar and disliked run-on sentences.

Joe is survived by his wife of 51 years Carol (Buinicky) Perrotto, daughter Stephanie (Perrotto) Haines, husband Jeffrey Haines, granddaughter Heather (Haines) LeBlanc, daughter Megan (Perrotto) Swain, husband James, granddaughter Mica, grandson Nico, sister Kate (Perrotto) Morris, husband Richard, sister Marny (Perrotto) Trottier, husband Arthur, many nieces, nephews and other treasured Gomers.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Claremont, NH, July 23, 2022 at 10am.
