Samantha Renehan Obituary
Austin, TX - Samantha "Samie" Jo Renehan, 38, of Sharon, Vermont, left this world surrounded by her family on May 9, 2025, after a courageous battle with heart disease. Born on April 14, 1987, in Hanover, New Hampshire, to Sean Renehan and Brenda Potter, Samantha was a bright light from the start.
Samantha is survived by her Father and Stepmother, Sean & Nancy Renehan; sister and niece, Monica & Zoe Dresser; her Stepfather and Mother, Darryl & Brenda Potter; sister and niece, Miranda Potter (Yensi Rosa) & Maura Potter-Conrad; sister, Georgia Potter (Mitchell Durkee). She was predeceased by both paternal and maternal grandparents. She is also survived by many friends and extended family who loved her dearly.
For most of Samantha's adult life, she called Austin, Texas, her home, along with her dog, Zeus. Her passion for bass fishing and gardening were reminders of her Vermont roots. Samantha's favorite way to end a conversation with friends and loved ones was, "I love you to the moon and back" – a phrase that will continue to be used in her honor. Samantha loved fiercely, worked hard and lived life to the fullest. Her smile was a ray of sunshine, brightening up the room. She formed lifelong friendships and welcomed new friends with open arms, turning many into family. She was always the first to offer help, lend an ear, or bring laughter to any room. Samantha's presence was a gift to those who knew her.
Her loss leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be remembered for her radiant spirit, infectious smile, her unwavering love for her family, and the kindness she poured into the world every single day.
A celebration of Samantha's life will be held at the river access point located at 2889 VT-14, Sharon, VT 05065, at 2:00 PM on June 1, 2025.
