Andrew "Andy" Pauli
On Thursday, April 8, 2021, Andrew "Andy" Pauli, loving husband and father of two, passed away at the age of 67.
Andy was born on May 18, 1953 in Palo Alto, CA to Frank and Rita (Lagan) Pauli. He received a degree in Biology from California State University Chico. Upon graduation, he moved to Bishop, CA where his first job was to hike and fish in the Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains. It was there in Bishop that he met Lori Muniz and the two were married on August 27, 1983. Shortly after being married, the couple moved to the high desert. There they raised two children, Andrea and Brian.
Andy was a Wildlife Biologist for the California Department of Fish and Game for 32 years. He was a strong supporter for desert wildlife and played a pivotal role in the conservation of desert bighorn sheep. Andy loved hunting and fishing, watching the Price Is Right and traveling to visit his grandchildren. He was known for his adventurous spirit and gentle soul.
Andy was preceded in death by his father, Frank. He is survived by his wife Lori, his children, Andrea and Brian, his mother, Rita, his grandchildren, Leah and Owen, his siblings, Tricia, Bob, Judy and Jim, and many nieces and nephews.
As per Andy's request, no services will be held. Andy was very involved with the Society for the Conservation of Bighorn Sheep. His family asks that if you are so moved, you make a donation to this group in his memory.
