I'd lost touch with Jim some time ago and was saddened to have heard the news of his passing through a mutual friend. I'll never forget his sharp sense of humor and his ability to spin a tale.

Jim was a great guy. I only met him once when I joined him and Cay to watch The Ravens at a little hole in the wall in Pasadena. He was kind gentle caring man. He treated Cay so well it made me happy. She's always been a very special friend to me. Jim was one of the nicest people I had met while living in California and being around him and Cay brightened a very dark time in my own personal life. His sense of human was great. He will be missed by so many people because he showed them love. I trust that he is made new in the Presence of our Lord and look forward to seeing him again someday.

Jim was an extraordinary human being. We went to school together from the time we were very young. I can't believe he is gone. The good Lord must have needed him. We will miss you, Jim. May God wrap his arms around his beautiful family at this time.

Oh, Jim. Your spirit will shine on through those of us who were lucky enough to know you for as long as we live.
To Jim's family, my heart has wept for you all so much. I'm so sorry for your loss... so very sorry.
I met Jim at 16, and he was one of the coolest kids in our school - caring, bright, genuine, articulate, hilarious, and fair. That's uncommon at 16, so he definitely stood out.
My best friend was one of his college roommates (UCLA), so I know he continued on his path of being a great guy.
Saw him at our 10th and 20th high school reunions, and for us all, it was as if time hadn't passed. "Jimbo" was just a special guy who gave everyone attention, cared, shared and listened, contributing to smiles at every occasion.
I'm grateful for Facebook, as it's been the best way to stay in touch with him here and there since our last reunion.
I was so happy for him to be doing so well at what he so loved. And, it's so obvious HE was so well-loved.
My heart is with you all.
Jim and Chris are surely catching up, creating a good scene, and taking care of each other now.
My sincerest condolences.
