Sachiko McClurg, 65, of Hesperia, California went to be with the Lord on May 1, 2018 in Tucson, Arizona. Sachiko was born July 26, 1952 in Tokyo, Japan to Miyuki Battles. Sachiko moved to the United States with her family when she was 16. She graduated school and helped raise her siblings. At 19, she met and married the love of her life. They worked to build a beautiful life together. They learned of Jesus and His saving grace, she knew she was loved by God and greater things were yet to come. Sachiko worked as a teacher at her kids' school and later became the senior manager at the credit union. She raised 3 great kids who became successful caring adults. She had 5 beautiful grandchildren that she loved deeply. She enjoyed flower gardens and grew flowers in every color. She loved her trips with her husband, exploring and learning about their family history. Sachiko was an amazing woman with a beautiful heart. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be deeply missed. Sachiko is survived by her husband James W. McClurg; her son James A. McClurg and his wife Sherri McClurg; her son Scott McClurg and his wife Jenifer McClurg; her daughter Jeni McClurg; her brother Julian Battles and his wife Diane Battles; her grandchildren Kathryne, Camden, Nicholas, Katelyn and Violet; her niece Kaylyn and her nephew Liam. Her memorial will take place Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Hesperia Community Church located at 16775 Olive St., Hesperia. A reception for family and close family friends will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to Rose of Sharon or Voice of the Martyrs are requested.
