THOMAS RICHARD MATTINGLY

Beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather, Thomas Richard Mattingly, 60, died May 8th, 2011, at his home in Murrieta, California with his family by his side. A viewing will take place on Monday, May 16th 4:00pm at Murrieta Valley Funeral Home in Murrieta, CA immediately followed by a vigil at Murrieta Valley Funeral Home at 7pm. On Tuesday May 17th at St. Martha Catholic Church in Murrieta, CA a mass will take place at 10am followed by a burial ceremony at 12:15pm at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, CA. Tom was born September 10, 1950 in Waynesburg, PA to Janis Milliken. His mother was born in Waynesburg, PA. The family moved to California in the early sixties eventually settling in Barstow, CA where Tom graduated from Barstow High School in 1968. He served in the Army from 1971-1974. Tom and Debi met in Barstow where they would marry at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Barstow on February 21st, 1976. He was an active member of SCORE, CORE and HOG (Harley Owners Group). He also participated in various Children's charities as well as cancer charities. Tom's interests were off-roading, riding his Harley, watching NASCAR and spending time with his granddaughter, Taylor. Mr. Mattingly is survived by his wife, Debi Mattingly, and two daughters, Amanda and Michelle, and his granddaughter, Taylor.
