This news saddens my heart deeply. Sandy was one of my admired and respected Waco High School friends and my debate partner for part of our senior year on the WHS debate team. To hear over the years of his varied accomplishments and pursuits was never a surprise, for he was an outstanding individual. I was so happy to see him again at our high school 40th reunion and to catch up briefly on the years since we had been at Baylor. I extend my sympathy to Martha and his beloved daughter and family, and I share your grief.
