Diana Lynn Walker, beloved sister, friend and vibrant soul, peacefully passed away on June 4, 2025, after a courageous, 13-month battle with cancer. She was 66 years old.
Diana spent most of her professional life as a dedicated sales representative in the wine and spirits industry. Because of her Integrity, warmth, and natural ability to connect with others, Diana was well respected by her colleagues. Her work brought joy to those celebrating milestones and everyday moments. Her career was a reflection of her exceptional taste and her love of people.
Diana had an amazing gift for seeing beauty where others saw worn edges. She could breathe new life into forgotten things and spaces. She was a talented cook, devoted gardener, and occasional painter. She also enjoyed surprising others with unexpected gifts at unexpected times just to brighten the day. Diana was also a lifelong lover of animals. She had deep compassion for the many shelter rescues and strays from the streets who came to live with her.
Diana leaves a legacy of creativity, kindness, and love. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those blessed to have known her.
Diana was preceded in death by her parents, Jackie Lee Walker and Ruth Holder Walker; and brother, Tommy Lee Walker.
She is survived by her companion, Jerry Yocham; sisters, Doreen Mishele Walker, Linda Walker Waggoner and her husband David Waggoner; and nieces and nephews, Ella Waggoner, Owen Waggoner, Sierra Mishele Martinez, and Jamie Walker Allison.
Memorial Services will be held July 11th, Friday at 3 p.m., at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel, 5201 Steinbeck Bend Waco, TX 76708.
In honor of Diana, memorial donations can be made to The Humane Society of Central Texas or Fuzzy Friends Rescue.

Been knowing "Dee Dee", as we called her for many years. She was one of my competitors in the liquor industry and was always very nice. Sat with her at Joe Dicorte's visitation about a year ago & she looked great. It was nice talking with her. My condolenses to her family.
