Eva Maria Warren
Dec 20, 1943 - Nov 3, 2025
Eva Maria Warren, 81, was called home to Jesus on Monday, November 3, 2025. Her life was a testament to love, faith, and simple joys. She passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Linz, Austria, on December 20, 1943, Eva dedicated her life to serving the Lord and nurturing her family. A devout Christian, her faith was the cornerstone of her existence; guiding her actions and providing strength to all who knew her.
At the age of 16, Eva came to the United States to live with her sister, Helga, in Missouri, in pursuit of the American dream. She married John Dennis Warren in early 1962. Later divorced and as a single mother, courageously raised two children on her own while Dennis traveled internationally. Eva became a proud American citizen after a swearing-in ceremony in Dallas, Texas. She worked diligently for several companies, including Smead, American Income Life Insurance, and M&M Mars, where she retired after 30 years of dedicated service.
A 20-year cancer survivor, Eva faced every health challenge with bravery and grace. She endured multiple surgeries and fought courageously for recovery, determined to enjoy life and remain present for her family and friends. She loved to travel; returning to her family in Linz, Austria, as often as she could; and visited many places, including Greece, Germany, Mexico, and numerous U.S. states.
Eva lived life simply and gratefully, cherishing a good cup of coffee in her gazebo while reading the Word of God, surrounded by her flowers and the songs of birds. Her loyal companion, a little dog named Clyde, was the recipient of her endless affection and famously spoiled. Their bond was a great source of comfort and joy.
Eva's gentle spirit, warm smile, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she touched and the beautiful life she led.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Lepodina Steiner; brothers Rikard, Albert, and Bete; sisters Helga, Boldie, and Erika; and her beloved son, John Nelson Warren in 1975.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Frances Warren Dulany, and son-in-law, Gary, of Evant, Texas. She was a cherished grandmother, affectionately known as "Oma," to Austin Dulany and wife, Kyndra of Dripping Springs, Texas, and Ryan Dulany and wife, Kelly of Austin, Texas. She was a loving great-grandmother to Carson, Hanalei, and Holland, passing on to them her values of compassion, kindness, and family devotion.
A service celebrating Eva's life will be held in McGregor, Texas, with services performed by Pastor Neely Reynolds on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be Monday, November 10, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Cole Funeral Home, McGregor, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to one of Eva's favorite causes: the
American Cancer Society, the
Alzheimer's Association, or your local animal shelter or church.
We all will take comfort in knowing she is now at peace in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
