Frances Kelley Obituary

A memorial service for Frances Kelley will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 6 at the Marlin Kingdom Hall. Frances came into this world on Jan. 28, 1931 in Beaumont Texas. She departed it on April 26, 2006 at the age of 75. She was the eldest daughter to Everett and Ruby Kirkpatrick. As a little girl, she and her family moved to Austin, where she graduated from Austin High School. She married Olan Kelley Jr. and raised a family in Austin. In later years, Frances moved to Marlin Texas to care for her mother, father, sister and daughter. Frances worked for the Texas Agricultural Dept, Cotton Division and the Texas Commission for the Blind in Austin and later retired from the Waco office of the Texas Commission for the Blind. Frances was a dedicated daughter, sister, mother and friend. She was a caregiver by nature and loved helping others. Frances dedicated her life to Jehovah and was an active member of the Marlin Kingdom Hall. Frances was preceded in death by her father, James Everett Kirkpatrick; her mother, Ruby Elnora Kirkpatrick; her sister Blanche Louise Kirkpatrick and her daughter Cynthia Lee Kelley. She is survived by her son, Olan Kelley III and his wife Judy, son James Monte Kelley and his wife Natha. Frances has three grandchildren, Clifton James "CJ" Kelley, Olan "Kel" Kelley IV and Stephen Kelley. The family would like to extend its appreciation to the members of the Marlin Kingdom Hall for their kind support and friendship. Frances was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
