Jerry Wayne Sammons of Lorena, TX, age 69, passed away on November 3, 2025. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home in Robinson, TX. The visitation will begin at 10am followed by the service at 11am and burial at Robinson Cemetery.
Jerry was born October 23, 1956, to James Clarence Sammons, Sr. and Nellie Hartnett Sammons at Shaw Air Force Base in Sumter, South Carolina. He was a 1975 Rosebud-Lott graduate. He retired from Verizon after 20 years. Jerry enjoyed fishing, especially in Colorado and Oklahoma when the weather was cooler. He loved playing the guitar and had a garage band with weekly Saturday afternoon jam sessions. He also enjoyed going to Pearl, TX to play music and meeting other musicians.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Nellie Hartnett Sammons and father, James Clarence Sammons, Sr.
He is survived by a brother, J.C. Sammons, Jr. and wife, Tammy of St. Augustine, FL; sister Janice Parker and husband, Mike of Cedar Park, TX; sister Judy Wilganowski and husband, Don of Lacy Lakeview, TX; sister Janie Crowder and husband, Kenneth of Lorena, TX; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are J.C. Sammons Jr., Mike Parker, Barry Sammons, Robert Sammons Jr., Todd Klemcke and Carey Canada.
Honorary pallbearers are Kenneth Crowder and Don Wilganowski.
