Jimmie Allen Obituary
After serving three tours in Vietnam he came back home to his family and friends that meant everything to him. Jimmie was a very social person who liked going to bars, shooting pool, and listening to old country music. He enjoyed family gatherings and cookouts, several sports-especially Baylor, Rangers, Cowboys, and Little League, road trips , daily card games with his wife and listening to country gospel music at home every Sunday morning.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents James and Eva Allen; sister Beverly Daizey; brothers Jerry, Dale, Kenneth, and Timmy; and beloved daughter Joni Marie.
He is survived by his wife Linda Allen; son Jimmie Allen; daughter Tina Todd; step-children Darlene Robert, Tammy Havens, and James Johnson, Jr.; sisters Janice Barber and Barbara Cox; brothers Billy, Vernon "Pookey", and Gary "Punk"; 13 grandchildren, two great grandchildren; and many special nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Scotty Allen, James "Peewee" Allen, Robert Allen, Branden Johnson, Dale "Bubba" Allen, and Charles "Kojak" Allen. Honorary pallbearers are Jerry Allen, Dr. Kevin Cunningham, Michael Robert and Johnny Rawlins.
The family would like to thank the staff at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, Providence Hospital, and Providence Hospice for their compassion and care.

I was blessed to have met you, when my grandmother found her long lost brothers and sisters. You welcomed us into your heart and home. Always putting a smile on our faces. Im so sorry for yalls loss. I know he was loved and I am sure he felt all that love. Im thankful he is at peace and not suffering but know that doesnt make the healing any easier.i love you guys. Just wanted to let the Allen family know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time in need. I haven't seen Jimmy or any of his family since back in the 70's . I knew them all and am sadden to hear of his passing. I guess you could say my family grew up with most of the Allen's.
