Joseph "Joe" Clarence Jarosek passed away on October 21, 2024 in Waco, Texas.

Mass Of Christian Burial will be at 1 P.M., Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at St. Louis Catholic Church, Waco, TX.

He was born on April 2, 1928 in Thrall, TX to Joe and Hattie Jarosek. Joe attended St. Mary's School in Taylor, TX. In 1952, Joe joined the U.S. Army and was a medic in the Korean War serving in Japan and Korea.

On April 29, 1953, he married Ruth Gilstrap in St. Mary's Church in Taylor, TX. They were married 71 years.

In 1953, he went to work for Texas Power & Light Co., from which he retired after 34 years.

Joe was an active member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Waco where he was an active member of the bereavement committee of the church. He was also a lifetime member of the VFW Post 6008. For years he was also an active volunteer for Meals on Wheels.

Joe is survived by his wife, Ruth; his daughters, Teresa and husband, Rick Flansburg of San Antonio, TX, Joanne and husband, Alan Barrett of Houston, TX, and Bonnie Tunstall of Austin, TX; 7 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren, of whom he was very proud.
