"L.R." Joslin L.R. Joslin, 87, of Elm Mott, passed away Monday, Aug. 6, at his residence. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, at Waco Memorial Park with the Rev. Jody Gousset officiating. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10, at Bellmead Funeral Home. L.R. was born Jan. 3, 1920, in Ozona, Texas, to Luther Watson and Link (Williams) Joslin. He married Clova O. Bryan Nov. 1, 1943, in San Angelo, Texas. He was a retired Lieutenant Colonel after serving over 23 years in the Air Force and was a Command Pilot Instructor. L.R. was a member of Masonic Lodge # 1329, a life member of the D.A.V. and a member of Elm Mott First Baptist Church. He was a self-employed machinist and owned and operated Jem Machine Shop for many years. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Luther Rolland Joslin Jr., January 1945. Survivors include his wife, Clova O. Joslin of Elm Mott; sons, Don Joslin and wife, Rochelle of Waco, and Lee Joslin of Elm Mott; sister, Susan Coston of New Jersey; sister-in-law, Jane Smith of Santa Anna; brothers-in-law, Ray Bryan of Ballinger, and Chester Bryan of Haltom City; grandchildren, Don Joslin Jr. and wife, Mandy of Waco, Ian Joslin, and Christopher, Candice and Morgan; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
