Laura Makowski Obituary
April 24, 1932 - March 19, 2022
Laura was born in Guntersville Alabama. She had the unique experience of being born in a houseboat on the Tennessee river where her family continued to live for several years. She graduated from Marshall County High School. In her 20s she moved to Waco, Texas, where she lived the rest of her life, dividing her time between her family, friends, church and her career as an office nurse for Dr. Walter P. Kochman.
Laura is survived by two sons, Mike Makowski, Andy Makowski and his wife, Carole; a sister, Barbara Little and her husband, Johnny Little; and many nieces and nephews and other relatives. Laura is also survived by numerous friends including two special sisters of the heart, Jane Williams and Billie Cotten.
She was preceded in death by her daughter in-law, Donna; her parents, Arthur and Sarah Cagle; a sister, Mae Belle Ogle; and two brothers, Bill Cagle and Howard Cagle.
Laura will be buried in Alabama near her parents. Service will be at 11 a.m., April 23, at Marshall Memorial Gardens of Albertville with burial following in the Memorial Gardens.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Central United Methodist Church In Waco, Texas.
