Margaret Slaby

Margaret Slaby, 89, of Maple Heights, Ohio went to be with the Lord Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2005, in Waco. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005, at Cole Funeral Home Chapel, 1113 West Fifth Street, McGregor with Pastor Warren Rinehart officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, 2005, at Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in Cleveland, Ohio with Pastor Jeffery Stephens officiating, under the direction of Claus Funeral Home of Cleveland. Mrs. Slaby was born Feb. 17, 1916, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Martin and Julia Kokavec. She was reared in Cleveland and attended John Adams High School and also lived in Maple Heights. To be near her son and daughter-in-law, she moved to McGregor in Dec. 2004. Preceding her in death were her parents, three brothers, and one sister. Survivors include her son, Frank M. Slaby and wife, Maria Soto-Slaby of McGregor; grandson, Frank Jr. and granddaughter, Alexandra Michael both of Corpus Christi.
