I am so very sorry to hear of Marshall's passing when I searched for him today. He was my room mate in a house in Waco my Sr. year at Baylor in 1985-6. He was an incredible blessing in my life during that year and as a parting gift gave me a copy of "In His Steps" which was revolutionary in my life as well. I would love to hear from one of his family if possible to learn more about his life after we parted ways. Thank you Lord for my friend Marshall. In Him, Michael Ort [email protected] 731-414-6652

Evelyn and family, I am so sorry for your loss I pray god will wrap you in his arms and give you all comfort during this time. Marshall stepped in for Joe Carbajal 2 years ago to do my aunts funeral and he did an amazing job . He was so gifted. We were so sad to hear of his passing. I also worked in the office at ccms so I know you both from there . Prayers for your family .

Marshall was such a fine man who shared his love for Christ in a manner where students could relate. His Dare to Dream program that he presented to several middle schools in Waco ISD was very impressive and displayed his devotion and dedication to challenging students to become better citizens. Thanks, Marshall, you made a lasting impression on many, many students that they will remember forever.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Marshall's death. My sister, who lives in Waco, called me today as she remembered he was my friend and of how I spoke kindly of him back in the day. Marshall and I sat next to each other in typing class at Midway High School. He always made me smile and laugh. I will always cherish these memories. Marshall, may you rest in peace forever and ever. I am so sad to learn of the death of Marshall. I was his third grade teacher ( Mrs. Gilchrest - Woodway Elementary MISD). Even at 8 years old, Marshall was a strong kind and respected student and friend to all. I loved him. Glenda Gilchrest Strum
