Mary Suzonne Fillip, age 75, of Waco, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior late Tuesday morning, April 2, 2024 at her residence. Honoring Mary's wishes, no funeral services will be held.  

Mary was born November 9, 1948 in Waco, the daughter of Hollis and Clarine (Tharpe) Smith. She attended schools in Waco prior to receiving her cosmetology license. On February 14, 1969 she was united in marriage to Charlie Fillip in Waco.  Mary was a hairdresser in Waco for many years. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, dancing, and hosting large holiday events. She loved spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren. Mary was kind hearted, loving and did not know a stranger. Her life lessons and wisdom were passed on to her children and grandchildren.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Jessica Thames; and  sisters, Mamie Smith and Carolyn Wade.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 55 years, Charlie Fillip; her children, Cindy Curton, Joey Fillip, and Jarrod Fillip and wife Michelle; her grandchildren, Allen Miller and wife Jessica, Wesley Curton and wife Connie, Kourtney Crawley and husband John, Whitney Connally and husband Tyler, and Hailey Fillip; her great grandchildren, Cheyenne, Holden, Chloe, Emma, Ellie, and Braxton; a brother, Hollis Smith Jr. of Waco; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
