Maurice Miller Obituary
Maurice was born Dec. 27, 1968, in West Palm Beach, Fla. He was in the U.S. Navy and retired where he served as a Seabee and was an Iraq war veteran. He earned many awards and citations during his military service; three Sea Service Deployment Ribbons, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, two Humanitarian Service Medals, two Good Conduct Medals, Presidential Unit Citation, Battle "E" Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, 9MM Sharpshooter Ribbon and Rifle Expert Medal. Maurice was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his brother, James Miller.
Survivors include his son, Richard Miller of Copperas Cove; sister, Cathy Miller-Yost of Killeen; brothers, Thomas Miller of Copperas Cove and Bob Summers of Waco; his mother and step-father, Olen and Harlynn Thompson of Copperas Cove; his father, James E. Miller Jr. of West Palm Beach, Fla.; uncle, Edward Roberts of Boynton Beach, Fla.; many nieces, nephews, and cousins around the country.

Buddy, Billy Ray and I are going to miss your friendship and great smile when we go to Southern Nights. We only learned of your tragic passing tonight when we went to Southern Nights. Also learned that you were "Bear's" little brother. We used to see Bear and Darylene at "The Railhead" years ago.
I am so very sorry to hear of "Buddy's" death and he will be missed tremendously by his friends. It will not be the same at Southern Nights knowing we will never see you there again.
Rest in Peace sweet Buddy. Billy Ray and I will see you again some day.
