I was sorry to hear about Mac´s death. His mother was my Aunt Jeannette (great aunt). My mother is Marjorie Chaney Lyons and she was born in Texas. Her mother and Jeannette were sisters.

I went to school with Mac in Moody, where his mother was the English teacher at the high school. He was a decent sort, a little different, intelligent, and always strong enough to pursue his own way. I had wondered what had happened to him. And I loved to hear him that deep /baritone base voice of his. May he rest in peace! I have to tell you about Max relating his family trip to New York, where he had difficulty walking down the streets of either Broadway or Fifth Avenue. He walked so slow, he said, was which was pretty typical of Mac, that he almost got run over with every step. He was pure Texas down to his boot soles.
