Patricia Smith Obituary

Patricia Smith, 91, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her children on November 24, 2025.

A celebration of her life will be held at Western Heights Baptist Church on December 3, 2025 at 2 p.m. Kip Osborne will officiate the service.

Patricia was born on March 14, 1934 in Wachapreague, Virgina to Reginald and Madlyn Boulter. She married the love of her life, Adrian Smith, in 1954. They were married for fifty years before his passing in 2005. They had three children, Sharon, Steve, and Staci. Adrian and Pat loved to travel during their senior years with an Alaskan cruise being their favorite trip.

She was a lifelong caregiver and an angel on earth for many people. She delivered Meals on Wheels to elderly folks until she herself was in her upper eighties. She helped tutor kids at Parkdale Elementary School. Counseled with kids at the juvenile detention center. She was semi-famous for her chocolate cakes that she would bring to the Sunday School classes at church. She never failed to send off birthday cards to all of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, and friends (too many to count). She loved music and sang in multiple choirs (including the Baylor Choir) and played piano for churches for years. She had a strong christian faith which she proudly shared with others. She babysat children for years and grew to love these children as if they were her own, and they all loved her as if she were their own grandmother.

Patricia was preceeded in death by her husband Adrian, her parents Reginald and Madlyn Boulter, two older brothers Vaughn Boulter and Ashby Boulter, and a son-in-law Allen Madsen. She is survived by her three Children (Sharon and husband Keith, Steve and wife Carol, Staci and partner Ronnie), her two younger brothers Joseph Boulter and David Boulter (wife Dottie), her ten grandchildren (Amber Necessary and husband Bryan, Christopher Smith and wife Aurora, Autumn Hohner and husband Gabe, Matthew Smith and wife Alycia, Wesley Crawford and family, Stephanie Squyres and husband Kelly, Nathan Reed and wife Candace, Patrick Madsen and wife Suzy, Adrianna Tobler and husband Christian, Benjamin Smith and wife Kaitlyn). She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren (Logan and Luke Necessary; Emily, Alexis, and Serenity Smith; Lily and Jocelyn Hohner; Everett Tobler; Sebastian, Theodore, and Bartholomew Smith; Julien Reed). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends. A special thanks to Kip Osborne, Alice Wingrove, and her loving church family at Western Heights Baptist Church for their many years of friendship and love.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Western Heights Baptist Church or to a Christian charity of your choice.

The Magee family

Earlier today

When my mother-in-law was in a nursing home in her last days. Pat would cook cornbread every day and take to her. She also brought her black and white cookies which were my mother in laws favorite. We were all blessed by Pat being on this eath.

One of my fondest memories during the eighteen years I was privileged to serve as pastor of Western Heights was being blessed with the always encouraging, servant hearts of Pat and Adrian Smith. To God be the glory!

Pat Smith was a treasure to all of us who were blessed to know her. To me she was a fellow member of Spring Street Baptist Church, neighbor for five years, and family friend. She will be missed by more people than can be counted. May God bless and comfort all her family.

Aunt Pat was a wonderful person always loving and caring. Not enough words to say how truly wonderful she was. I know all her children and grandchildren will miss her greatly, as will all her family near and far. My deepest sympathies to her family love you all
