Raymond Harold Spradlin
January 17, 1934 - November 3, 2020
On Tuesday, November 3, 2020, Raymond Spradlin, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, went home to be with the Lord at the age of 86.
Ray was born January 17, 1934, in Winters, TX, to Seaborn and Katherine Spradlin. He had six siblings. He met the love of his life, Barbara Spradlin, and married her on June 9, 1956 in Waco, TX. Shortly after, he was drafted intp the US Army and served a total of 12 years (active/reserve). They raised two daughters and two sons. Ray was one of the hardest working men and worked multiple jobs with ultimately running his own successful Home Improvement/remodeling business until he retired in 2005.
Ray had a passion for his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He would give the shirt off his back and believed in a firm handshake and a reputable name. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a service-disabled veteran. Ray was preceded in death by his parents and siblings; son, "baby" Spradlin; and great-grandson, Daniel Ziegler.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Barbara; his four children, Ranee, Rhonda, Randall (Melissa), and Ramon (Bobbie); his grandchildren, Stacy (Brandon) Paulson, Rae-Lynn (Dan) Ziegler, Danielle (David) Heffley, Remington Harrison, Dylan Cammack, Tyler Cammack, Austin Spradlin, Evan Spradlin, Leah Spradlin, McKenzie Spradlin, Scott Spradlin; and his great-grandchildren, Levi Paulson, Brooklynn Paulson, Katelynn Paulson, Tanner Heffley, Avery Spradlin, Maxwell Heffley, Adaline Ziegler, Cambree Spradlin, Valencia Spradlin, Cayden Cammack, and Jazzyln Spradlin.
A viewing will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday November 9, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco, TX. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, November 10, at the funeral home, with Dr. Cary Killough officiating. Burial will follow at Robinson Cemetery, with Pastor David Tenberg officiating.
