Ruby Lentz Obituary

Ruby Alice Kaddatz Lentz, 83, of Waco, died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007, at a Waco hospital. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, at Christ Lutheran Church in Hillsboro with the Rev. Stephen Rynearson officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro. Ruby was born Nov. 6, 1923, near Malone, the daughter of Charlie and Annie (Radke) Kaddatz. She was baptized April 13, 1924, at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Walling, Texas, and confirmed April 10, 1938, at St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church. On April 1, 1944, she was married to Edward John Henry Lentz. She lived in Hill County most of her life before moving to Waco in 2000. She was a charter member of Christ Lutheran Church in Hillsboro before transferring to Peace Lutheran Church in Hewitt. She was preceded in death by her husband on Aug. 7, 1990; sister, Lillian Hodde in January 2004; and one brother, Weldon "Sonny" Kaddatz on Aug. 18, 2006. Survivors include four sons and one daughter, Edward Lentz and wife, Elaine of Crosby, Steven Lentz and wife, Doris of Cypress, Russell Lentz and wife, Beth of Red Oak, Evelyn Cowart of Waco, and Kevin Lentz and wife, Susan of Lorena; 12 grandchildren, Edward Lentz, Joel Lentz, Paul Lentz, Amanda Lentz, Brian Lentz, Kevin Lentz, Stefani Cowart, Jonathon Myrick, Tori Lentz, Ashley Davis, Justin Lentz and Eric Lentz; two great-grandchildren, Joanna Lentz and Caleb Saenz; two brothers, Alvin "Kowboy" Kaddatz and wife, Nancy of Hillsboro, and Ervin Kaddatz and wife, Mary of West; and a sister-in-law, Frances Kaddatz of Hillsboro.
