William B. "Dub" Temple

William B. "Dub" Temple, 89, of Waco, died in a one-car accident on Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2006. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, Oct. 6, at Rosemound Cemetery with Mitchell Parrish officiating. William Boone was born on May 31, 1917, the son of Willie Washington and Jessie Jewel Raibourn Temple in Hamilton, Texas. During World War II, Dub traveled all over the world while serving our country in the U. S. Coast Guard. He retired from Texaco after 25 years and then drove buses for Durham Transportation for special needs children. While an avid golfer, Dub was also a member of Herring Lodge #1224 A.F. & A. M. and the Karem Shrine Temple. Dub was a member of, and served as a deacon at, Western Heights Baptist Church. Preceding him in death were his parents; and wife, Ella Lorene Temple in March of 2005. Surviving William are his brothers, J.E. Temple of Houston, Dale Temple and wife, JoAnn of Houston, and George Temple of Waco; sister, Maxine Hurst of Dallas; brother-in-law, Danah Moran of Waco; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special great-niece, McKenna Alexander. Pallbearers will be Jeff, John, Rusty and Shamen Alexander, Stuart Moran, and Dale Temple III. May 31, 1917 - October 3, 2006
