Gregory D. Rezac VALPARAISO - Gregory D. Rezac, 64, of Valparaiso entered into eternal rest on Friday, Dec. 2, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 22, 1958 in Wahoo to Lawrence and Beatrice (Sousek) Rezac. He was a graduate of Raymond High School. Greg was the owner of R&R Construction and Oak Valley Lumber and Supply in Valparaiso. He also farmed in the surrounding area. Greg was a faith-filled hard working man. He was a member of Sts. Mary and Joseph Catholic Church. He loved his family, friends and farming. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren gardening and attending their activities. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, playing games and teaching. Greg liked to stay busy by helping others on projects and was always willing to lend a hand. He was a member of the Valparaiso Businessman Association and a board member of zoning and planning in Valparaiso and Wahoo. Greg is survived by his wife, Karen Rezac; children, Andrew Rezac, Joshua (Melanie) Rezac, Bridget (Tyler) Stover, Joseph (fiancé Melissa Gonzalez) Rezac; grandchildren, Harrison and Harvey Rezac, Braxton and Ensley Rezac, Abigail and Isabella Stover, Joel and Josiah Rezac; mother, Beatrice Rezac; siblings, Kathy (Norm) Rezac, Tom (Barb) Rezac, Jerome Rezac, Gary Rezac, Monica Rezac, Bernadette (Steve) Ference, Robert (Sherree) Rezac Sr., Cecilia Ann Rezac and Jeanette Meacham; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Rezac; brother, Dale Rezac and grandparents. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, Dec. 9 at 10 a.m. at Sts. Mary and Joseph Catholic Church, 137 Iver St., Valparaiso. The Rev. Matthew Zimmer will be celebrant. The funeral will be live streamed on the Sts. Mary and Joseph Church Facebook page. Visitation, Thursday, Dec. 8 from 5 to 7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Rosary, all at the church. Interment will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Valparaiso.
