Nancy Jo Torrison, 88, met the Lord Thursday, March 13, 2025, in Wahoo. Born January 10, 1937 in Omaha, she was involved with the Order of Rainbow for Girls at the state level as a youth and continued involvement as an adult. She met the love of her life, Eldred, at Omaha University at a dance when he cut in on the person she was dancing with. They lived in Omaha, Grand Island, Worms and Wahoo. She was a lifelong member of the Lutheran church. She loved flower gardening, all things Christmas, and especially her family. After her sons went to college, she enjoyed working for the U.S Census and retail gift shops in Wahoo. She dearly loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She fully encouraged and supported both sons' high school and college activities and was always there for those she loved. Preceded in death by her husband Eldred and her parents Leonard and Edna Reed. Survived by her sons Phil (Laura) of Omaha, Eric (Marilyn) of Wickenburg, AZ, grandsons Matt (Jamie) and Jacob (Ashley) and great grandchildren Shelby, Levi, Bailie, Byron, Roy and Jacob Eldred, all of Omaha. The family thanks the team at Saunders Medical Center for 4 years of excellent care, and to Hospice and Home Healthcare of Saunders County. Visitation Tuesday, March 18, 5 to 7 p.m., Pruss Nabity Funeral Home, Wahoo. Funeral Thursday, March 20, 11 a.m., Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 4040 N. 108th St., Omaha. Family will receive friends prior to the funeral from 10 to 11 a.m. Private family burial immediately following the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gethsemane Lutheran Church.
