Rev. Robert A. Kronberg

1912 - 2012

SWEDEBURG – Rev. Robert A. Kronberg, 100, died Nov. 4.
Kronberg was born April 6, 1912 to Hugo and Anna (Hallner) Kronberg in Modesto, Calif. He was raised and attended school in Hillmar, Calif. Following college, he worked on the family farm until enlisting in the Army Air Corp during World War II.
After his honorable discharge from the military, he attended North Park Seminary in Chicago, Ill., where he met his wife, Anna. They were married on Sept. 12, 1948 in Springfield, Mass.
He served Evangelical Covenant Churches in Park Falls, Wis., Hector, Minn., Cannon Falls, Minn., Oakland, Stromsburg, Swedeburg and Malmo for over 55 years. He then retired in Swedeburg.
He was preceded in death by wife; his parents; four brothers; and four sisters.
He is survived by children and spouses, Joyce and John Economides of Donners Grove, Ill., Virginia and Jim Schoenecker of Omaha, Theodore Kronberg of Yakima, Wash., Norman and Kay Kronberg of Stromsburg, Alan and Leslee Kronberg of Omaha; grandchildren and spouses, Tim and Sharon, Sarah, Brian and Holly, Rebekah and Jon, David and Beth, Sarah, Robert and Meghan, Andrew, Ryan, Jordan and Stephanie, Leighton and Ann, Kyle, Karina and Nate, Korwen, Kirsten and Tervel; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held Monday, Nov. 12 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Svoboda Funeral Home in Wahoo.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13 at Swedeburg Covenant Church. Interment will be at Sunrise Cemetery in Wahoo.
Memorials may be made in care of the family for future designation.
