Thomas Cajka Obituary
November 15, 1930 - March 26, 2025
Thomas T. Cajka, 94, of Wahoo, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at his home in Wahoo. He was born November 15, 1930 in Wahoo, to John and Millie (Styskal) Cajka. Tom graduated from Mead High School in 1948. Tom served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War from 1951 to 1955. On June 20, 1953, Tom was united in marriage to Carol Kendall at St. Mary Catholic Church in El Cajon, CA.
Tom owned and operated a plumbing business in California and most recently in Wahoo. He was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Wahoo and he served on the church cemetery board for many years. Tom was a past commander of the American Legion Post #82 and VFW Post #4502. He enjoyed gardening and playing Toraks with friends.
He is survived by his children, Jeanette (Paul) Nansel, Debbie (David) Watson, Tim Cajka and Tom (Elaine) Cajka; 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Gladys Cajka; many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Carol Cajka; granddaughter, Tracy Watson-Esqueda; great-grandson, Tiger Nunez; parents, John and Millie Cajka; brothers, Joe Cajka and Ernie Cajka.
Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, April 5, 2025, 10:30 a.m., at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, 214 E. 2nd St., Wahoo. Celebrant, Rev. Jeffrey Eickhoff. Visitation, Friday, April 4, 2025, 5 to 7 p.m., with 7 p.m. Rosary, all at Svoboda Funeral Home, Wahoo. Interment, at St. Francis Cemetery, Wahoo. Military Honors by U.S. Navy, American Legion Post #82 and VFW Post #4502.
