Joseph Paquin, 85, of Elk River, died Sunday, May 4, 2025, at his home.
Joe was born March 25, 1940, and raised in Little Falls with his parents Gene and Laura (Bisson) Paquin and six siblings. Following high school, Joe graduated from the Dunwoody Institute of Minneapolis and worked for the Plumbers Local Union 15 for 35 years.
Joe married his childhood sweetheart, Marsha Verley, and they were married 63 years. Together, they have three children - Stacy Paquin, Brooke Paquin Mingo and Kelly Paquin Notch.
After retirement, Joe and Marsha built their home in Walker and they spent their winters in Mission, Texas. Joe liked to golf, hunt and had a passion for fishing, especially for muskies with his son, Stacy. He had a kind and gentle soul, loved spending time with his family, telling stories and sharing a good joke.
Joe is survived by his wife, Marsha; son Stacy (Wendy) Paquin and daughters Brooke Paquin Mingo and Kelly Paquin Notch; five grandchildren, Reed Paquin, Michael (Tori) Notch, Katie Notch, Joe Notch and Rachael Notch; and one great-grandchild, Hayden Notch.
Joe will be greatly missed by all, but the memories, laughter and stories will last forever.
A funeral service will be held May 17 at 11 a.m. at Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service at Emblom Brenny Funeral Service. The burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery in Little Falls.
