Kelly Mazzarini

WALTHAM Kelly (Beaumont) Mazzarini of Waltham, died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2008, at the Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She was 40. The daughter of the late Charles "Chuck" E. Boston and Alice Beaumont, she was born in Lowell and had been a lifelong Waltham resident. Mrs. Mazzarini graduated from Waltham High School, Class of 1986 and received her bachelor's degree in early childhood education from Wheelock College in Boston. She had been employed with the Waltham Public School System in the Even Start Program and with Catholic Charities, Waltham Day Care and various other early educators. She was an advocate for children with disabilities, who enjoyed blues music and spending time with her family and friends. She also had a longtime involvement and worked with the Salvation Army in Waltham in their after school programs. She is survived by her husband, Stephen L. Mazzarini; her daughter, Mikayla Beaumont; her son, Marcus Beaumont Mazzarini; her stepdaughter, Stephanie Mazzarini; her sisters, Dianne Ponce of Burbank, Calif., Debbie Beaumont of Waltham and Amy Beaumont McMullen and her husband, Rich, of Waltham; her brothers, Fred Beaumont and his wife, Cynthia, of Waltham, and Danny Beaumont of Billerica; and her aunt, Shirley Byam of Waltham. She is also survived by her cousins, nieces, nephews and her extended family. A funeral service will be held Thursday, Aug. 21, at 9 a.m., at the Brasco and Sons Memorial, 773 Moody St., Waltham, with a Mass of Christian burial at Our Ladys Church, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in the Mount Feake Cemetery in Waltham. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, Aug. 20, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
