Edison J. Keller

1924 - 2015

Edison J. Keller, 90, of Wapakoneta, died 12:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at Wapakoneta Manor.
He was born July 11, 1924, in Fryburg, Ohio, the son of Henry C. and Emma (Elsass) Keller. On July 21, 1962, he married Arlene M. Crandall Simons, and she died March 4, 2006.
Survivors include, three step-children, Dennis E. (Priscilla) Simons, Joyce J. (Bruce) Thuman, both of Wapakoneta, Sandra S. Wilges, Urbandale, Iowa, seven stepgrandchildren, and 17 stepgreat grandchildren, a brother, Willis Keller, Wapakoneta, a sister, Elzena Zwiebel, Wapakoneta, a nephew, David (Virginia) Zwiebel, Wapakoneta.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and sister-in-law, Henry (Sandra) Keller and Melvin Keller, a half sister, Irene King, and a brother-in-law, Eugene "Whitey" Zwiebel.
A farmer, licensed electrician and TV repairman, Edison owned and operated the Edison J. Keller TV and Electric Repair Co.
He started his company Aug. 2, 1954. He was a 1942 graduate of Blume High School, and a 1956 graduate of the Industrial Training School, Chicago, Ill. He was also a member of the First United Methodist Church, Wapakoneta.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 10, 2015, at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home and Cremation Services, state Route 501, Wapakoneta, Pastor Kimberly Seiberling officiating. Burial is to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta.
The family will receive friends 5 - 8 p.m., Thursday and one hour prior to the service, Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to the First United Methodist Church. Condolences may be expressed at www.bayliffandeleyfh.com.
