Hubert William Koch

1930 - 2021

Hubert William Koch, 90, of Lakeview, OH died 1:45 p.m., Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at his home.
He was born July 28, 1930, in Wapakoneta, the son of William and Leona (Elsass) Koch who preceded him in death. On Aug. 5, 2004, he married Shirley A. Hunter Warren, and she survives.
Other survivors include a son, Tom (Denise) Koch, Toledo, OH; two step-daughters, Carol Sue (Dan) Fry, Huntsville, OH, Linda Sue (John) Elkins, Hilliard, OH; five grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren; a brother, Raymond (Brenda) Koch, TX; a sister-in-law, Mary Koch, Wapakoneta.
He was preceded in death by a son, Terry; and two brothers, Lester Koch, and Dean Koch.
Hubert retired form Superior Tube Co., Wapakoneta, after 34 years of service. He was a graduate of Blume High School, and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Hubert was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Pusheta Rd., Wapakoneta, the Wapakoneta V.F.W. Post #8445, and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie #3615, Indian Lake. He enjoyed fishing, and watching NASCAR and The Ohio State University Buckeyes.
Graveside services for Hubert's cremated remains will be 11 a.m., Tuesday. July 20, 2021, at the Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta, with his nephew, Pastor Dan Koch officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the Wapakoneta V.F.W., Post #8445.
