John Frederick Kraft, born March 5, 1938, in Saint Louis, MO, passed away peacefully at Otterbein Senior Living, Cridersville, Ohio, on Sunday afternoon, December 14, 2025, at the age of 87. He is survived by in-laws, Jerry (Phyllis) Doseck, Connie (Dave-dec) Steinke, Barb (Clarence-dec.) Cecil and Barbara (Bob-dec) Doseck, who were a very important part of his life.

John married Joan Elizabeth Doseck on September 7, 1957, and they were married for 66 years. They were blessed with seven children, Peg (Bruce) Bambauer and their children, Matt (Cheryl), Mitch (Lucy), and Melissa (Dusty); Sandy (Bob) Horstman and their children, Hollie (dec), Nathan (dec), Derek (Mallory), Amanda (Curtis), and Nathan; Tim (Amy) Kraft and their children, Nina, Shana (Sydney), and Nick (Karissa); Lisa Roberts and her children, Corey and Claire; David (Deb) Kraft and their children, Joshua and Michaela; and Angie (dec) and Amy (dec) Kraft. He also loved spending time with his 29 great grandchildren.

John was a very loving father, husband, grandfather, and great grandfather. His deep compassion for others grew from his early years in The Logan County Children's Home and then from his father, Dennis Shroyer, Grandma Vern, and family. He had a passion for fixing and rebuilding things, including automobiles. He especially enjoyed helping his children. John worked as a quality control engineer, product engineer and buyer in the manufacturing industry for over 20 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta.

John lived his life loving and caring for others. He is now in the arms of his loving Father in heaven and will be greatly missed.

Dear Children of John's:

John and I grew up together. Dennis is my mother's brother, her name is Imogene Mortimore and she died in 1986. John called me back in the spring and it was so good to talk with him. I am sorry for your loss and lift each of you in my prayers. Lucinda Mortimore McFalls
