Merle Wooley Obituary
Merle retired as a handyman. He previously worked at AmCast, Air Stream Security, and Wapak Telephone Company. He was an U.S. Army Veteran and a member of St. Marks Lutheran Church in Wapakoneta. He enjoyed playing the guitar and singing any type of music, liked riding motorcycles, and working with wood.
He is survived by a son - David James (Theresa) Wooley of Kentucky; a daughter - Karen (Ron) Lenhart of Wapakoneta; 5 grandchildren - Cameron, Collin, and Kerrigan Lenhart, Morgan and Andrew Wooley; 3 brothers - Terry (Ina) Wooley of Michigan; Garry (Patty) Wooley of Wapakoneta; Bruce (Diane) Wooley of Pennsylvania; 2 sisters - Jeanne Clark of Wapakoneta and Bernice (Larry) Mullins of Lima; and his former wife - Jean (Johnson) Landry.
Funeral services will begin 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 27, 2023 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Rev. Douglas Pretorius will officiate. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens with military rites to follow.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Arbor Day Foundation, 211 N 12th Street Lincoln, NE 68508 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Merle was a Great man, he had many skills. His hands had magic in them. He played his guitar very well. He sang beautifully.He could create anything with wood , all of his projects were beautiful. He loved and was very proud of his children and children. You will be missed Merle.

So sorry to that Dick has passed away. I played music with him years ago. He was a great guitar player and a great Bass player . He was our Bass player for our gospel Bluegrass group. Rest in peace Dick Wooley.
