Shirley Muleski Obituary

Shirley M. Muleski, age 100 of Wapakoneta, passed at 4:38 a.m., Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Wapak Manor Nursing Home. She was born November 9, 1925 in Lima, Ohio to the late Virgil and Leota I. Miller Shaw, Sr. On May 5, 1948 she married John J. Muleski who passed November 21, 1993.

Shirley was a devoted homemaker whose life was grounded in faith, family, and community. A proud 1944 graduate of Blume High School, she was a longtime member of St. Johns Catholic Church, where she also sang in the church choir and participated in the Altar and Rosary Society. She was active in local organizations, including the VFW Lima Auxiliary and the Eagles Auxiliary. Shirley was the kind of person who was always ready to lend a helping hand.

Shirley loved attending performances at the Encore Theater, dancing to her favorite big band music, and spending time with friends while playing BINGO at the Wapak Manor. Her warmth, kindness, and lively spirit touched everyone who knew her.

She is survived by 2 daughters – Judy I. (Bill) Faccenda of Lima; Marjorie A. Teutsch of Cridersville; 1 son – Mark A. Muleski of Lima; a daughter-in-law – Barb Muleski of Lima; a former son-in-law – Steve Teutsch of Lima; 13 grandchildren – Mark (Kim) Maus; Michelle (Denny Liettle) Beuhler; Denise Kohler; Heather (Vince) Jolly; Mike Faccenda; John Faccenda; Alison R. (David) Centeno; Kimberly L. Muleski; Mark A. Muleski, Jr; Macy A. (Breanna) Muleski; Chelsie R. (Keaton) Genth; Casey L. Teutsch; 16 great grandchildren; 12 great great grandchildren; Niece – Kathy (Jim) Johnsman; 2 great nieces – Angie Mann and Becky Mann; a roommate and close friend – Donna Zimmerman.

She was preceded in death by a son – John Muleski, Jr.; a daughter-in-law – Cindy Law-Wootton ; a grandson – Martin 'Marty' Faccenda; a nephew Carey R Brafford; 2 brothers – Richard Dean Shaw; Virgil Shaw, Jr.; a sister – Mariam Jean Shaw; a niece – Sondra Shaw Mann and a nephew – David Bruce Shaw; and a former husband Francis Lowry.

A memorial mass will begin 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 21, 2025 at St. Johns Catholic Church in Lima. Father David Ross will officiate. The family will recieve friends one hour prior to the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation or donor's choice.

The family would like to thank the Wapak Manor Staff and Interim Hospice for their exceptional care and kindness.

I am so sorry to hear of Shirley's passing. Living to be 100, I'm sure she had seen it all. By reading her obituary, she sounds like a wonderful woman, that you were blessed to have in your lives. May she Rest in Peace.
