William Motter Obituary
passed away at 11:30 p.m. on April 28, 2023 at his residence. Bill was
born September 30, 1946 in Lima to the late Willis and Eva (Robinson)
Motter. He married Carolyn K. Hight Dec. 22, 1988 and she preceded him
in death May 25, 2016.
He is survived by Lily Volbert, granddaughter; Katrina (Paul) Volbert,
daughter; Annette (Robert) Lira, daughter; Bill Motter, son; Dan (Kerri)
Motter, brother; Ellen Motter, sister; and Gary Motter, brother.
He was preceded in death by Wesley Motter, brother and Brenda Stocker,
sister.
Bill's hobbies included golf, co-owner of Motter DJ Service and helping others. After helping get it started, Bill coached the Waynesfield golf team for a few years. He was a long-standing member of Prairie View Golf Club. Through DJing, Bill and Carolyn spread the joy and love of music to many others over the last 35 years. Bill would donate his time to do things like Karaoke at Auglaize Acres. He was also a councilman for the Village of Waynesfield, where he served as Council President for two years.
A celebration of Life will be held for both Bill and Carolyn Motter at Prairie View Golf Club in Waynesfield on May 21, 2023 from 3 pm to 6 pm.
Memorial contributions may be given to Village of Waynesfield Christmas Decorations Fund and online condolences maybe shared at BayliffAndSon.com
