Jeffery Alan "Jeff" Adkins

Jeffery "Jeff" Alan Adkins, age 60, of Chilhowee, Missouri passed away at home on December 9th, 2025.
Jeff was born in Shawnee Mission, KS on July 19, 1965 and was raised in Chilhowee, Missouri where he graduated from Chilhowee High School in1983. He was a lifelong member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, where he faithfully served in various areas, including being in charge of the sound system. His quiet dedication, steady presence, and willingness to serve were a blessing to his church family and a reflection of his deep faith.
Jeff's work ethic was evident throughout his life. He spent more then 10 years working with Americo and later on working 25 years at the University of Central Missouri. In his younger years, he enjoyed working on vehicles and helping his parents run C&M Oil in Chilhowee from 1979 to 1986 - memories he carried with pride over the years.
Above all, Jeff had a generous heart. He gave selflessly, even when he had little to offer, always making sure his family had something special to unwrap during the holidays. His kindness, thoughtfulness, and quiet acts of love will be remembered fondly by all who knew him. Jeff's life was a quiet testimony of generosity, faith, and love. He will be deeply missed.
Jeff is survived by his parents, Craig and Mary Adkins; his sister Stephanie Truex (Terry); his brother Brian Adkins (Sammi); his niece Kristin Shaw (Aaron); his nephews Jake Truex (Melissa), Louis Adkins, and Amos Adkins; as well as one great-niece and two great-nephews. He is also survived by a son, Michael Adkins. He is cherished and remembered by many extended family members and friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 11:00 at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Chilhowee, MO. A visitation will be held prior to the services starting at 10:00.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Jeff's memory.
