Linda Anibal Obituary

Linda Lee Anibal (née Stewart) passed away on 12 February, in her home in Tucson Arizona, surrounded by her family. She was born in Concordia, Missouri on December 11th 1938 to Harley O. Stewart and Lettie Wayman Stewart. She was preceded two years earlier by her brother Joe Stewart. She was raised on the family farm and attended Centerview Elementary and Junior High School, College High in Warrensburg, and graduated from Central Missouri State College (UCM) with a degree in Education in 1960. She was a kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade teacher for 37 years.
She married James M. Anibal, an Airman in the USAF, on 24 January 1961, in Carterton England where James was stationed. As an Air Force wife from 1961 to 1968 Linda lived in Carterton England, Rapid City South Dakota, Roswell New Mexico, Jacksonville Arkansas, and finally Tucson Arizona, where she lived until her death.
Linda loved to travel. In her and Jim's retirement they loved to take road trips around the U.S. visiting many historical sites. She would also take a yearly trip to North Carolina to attend her granddaughters' dance recitals. Her two favorite trips were to Taiwan to visit her son in 2012, and South Korea/Taiwan, in 2016, with her daughter and son.
Linda is survived by her husband James, son Scott, daughter Allison Anibal Buus, her son-in-law Steve Buus, and two granddaughters Emma and Megan.
If anyone would like to make a donation to a charity in Linda's name the family suggests the Humane Society of Southern Arizona.
