ADAM BOYD Obituary
ADAM SUTCLIFFE BOYD
On April 14, 2017 in Athens, GA after a long battle with liver disease. Adam was born on September 12, 1961 in Long Beach, CA to John Huntly Boyd, Jr and Mary Elizabeth Hogan Boyd. He attended Virginia Tech, graduated from Portsmouth Catholic HS and grew up in varied locales as a Navy dependent (Guam; Sasebo, Japan; Virginia Beach, VA; Camp Springs, MD; Alexandria, VA and Portsmouth, VA). Adam was an able and trusted landscaper, horticulturalist, and handyman, and loved the great outdoors, fishing, football, music, and the company of family and friends. He is survived by siblings John (Debbie), David (Terri), Sarah Blair (Hunt, RIP) and Amy Crawford (Neil) and by eight nieces and nephews. Adam was predeceased by his parents. A memorial Mass of Intention was said on Adam's behalf by Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. A private memorial gathering will be held on August 13, 2017 and burial will be scheduled at a future date.

This evening -by complete coincidence- I attempted to find Adam, because I had been meaning to ask him a question for the last 37 years. Now to no avail. My condolences go out to you and your families. A book would not be enough to hold all of the memories and anecdotes that I carry within myself, about Adam.It does not matter how much we have accumulated. It matters in how many hearts we will live on. My heart goes out to all of you and bless you, all the way from Germany.

Dear Amy and family, I'm so sorry for the loss of your brother, Adam. Since we usually know our siblings longer than any significant person in our lives, I know it deeply hurts to lose a brother (and too soon). Sending comfort and love as you cherish your brother's memory.
