AGNES SYKES Obituary
AGNES BROWN SYKES (Age 99)
Of Stafford County, VA passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017 at her home. Mrs. Sykes was the widow of Thomas G. Sykes. She was very active in Soroptimist International in Alexandria for more than 50 years. Survivors include her children, Thomas Sykes (Gertie) and Ronald Sykes; grandchildren, Thomas M. Sykes and Deborah Bowling (Craig); sister, Betty Sue Goodwin; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., on Tuesday, September 26 at Covenant Funeral Service, Stafford. A service will be held at 10 a.m., on Wednesday, September 27, at the funeral home chapel. Interment will be held at 12:30 p.m., at Mount Comfort Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 100 W Luray Avenue, Alexandria, VA 22301. Online guestbook available at:covenantfuneralservice.com

Ronnie I am so sorry for your loss. Your mother was a very lovely, kind lady. She and my mother were "thick as thieves" as my Mom used to say, when they were growing up and teenagers and later on also.
