Alan! How could I forget you? You gave me one of my first jobs when I was 11 or 12 years old, washing your windows and cleaning your pool. A lot of time has passed since then. It was only until now that I looked you up before my trip back to MD that I thought about reaching out. Sadly, I hear that you have passed. You really were a very influential role model in my life. I wish the best for your family and promise to knock on the door when I come into town very soon. Hope you are enjoying wherever you're at. - Matthew Baker

How can I forget you Alan and the Latt's? You gave me my first job when I arrived here as a shy, not confident & naïve one from another country in late 70's. It's been decades and I never forgot you and your late mom. You trusted me and showed me gentleness, kindness and confidence. We've lost touch, but you became a part of my life as a symbol of courage. Nothing or no one has ever stopped you from living a full life, teaching many that adversity makes us all stronger. I am one of those. R.I.P. Alan.

Alan, you always told me to give and not expect anything in return, it will come back to you many times over. Your wealth cant be measured in dollars, only in the love you gave and recieved. I was a lucky recipient of your love and kindness. You will be missed.

Alan was a "regular" at the Kaufmann house when we were growing up. I have fond memories of his amazing sense of humor, which no doubt served him well as he navigated the many challenges in his life. Heartfelt condolences to the Latt family and all who love him.

Alan's gift to so many lives is a treasure to hold and cherish, for all of us. He had a spirit that went beyond life itself. Love and hugs to Pam and the family. With prayers, Jacque
