Years overdue I want to remember Alan. He was my roommate for 4 semesters at the University of Oklahoma in the late 1970's. By circumstance I was back at OU in 1983 and '86 and Alan graciously was there for me when I was very alone. I last spoke with him by telephone in late 2002 when he was very tired taking care of his ailing wife. Alan was a good friend, honest, supremely rational and intelligent. I miss him so very much. I was a friend of Alan and Kerynn's when they lived in Austin, Texas. I was shocked to hear of his recent passing. Alan was such a wonderful, caring person and will be missed by many.
