GROUGE

ALBERT J. GROUGE JR.

Passed away on July, 29, 2022. Al was born in Mahanoy City, PA in August 1933 and moved to the DC area in 1951, spent two years in the Army, and worked as a civilian for the Navy for 37 years, the last 26 at the Pentagon, before retiring in 1989. During his retirement years, Al kept busy gardening and was active at Vienna Presbyterian Church. He was predeceased by his wife, Pat Deely, and son Al III. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Bonnie Kerr Grouge, his sister Pat (Ed) Carlson, sons Robert (Kimberly) and Tim (Jan), daughter Theresa (Beth), daughter-in-law Lee (Al III), stepson Rob (Carrie) Kerr, stepdaughter Jennifer (Craig) Shye, 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
