Condolences to the family. I went to high school with Al and remember him well. I think he was the valedictorian of our class. We had reconnected at a reunion some years ago. Further reunions were planned, but did not pan out.

Jill: just learned of Al´s passing (from Mike Telson). So sorry to hear he´s gone! From meeting him at those long-ago STEPP dinners to interacting with him when he was at AAAS, he was always thoughtful and helpful. He will be missed. Dan
