Alice Quade Obituary
Of Newburg, MD on March 3, 2005 at Charles County Nursing Rehab Center. Predeceased by her parents, Charles and Mary Beyer, husband, William Quade and daughter, Dorothy Shoop. Survived by her sons, William Jr. (Mary) and Charles (Julie) Quade; daughter, Kathleen (Don) Grist; sister, Rose Eder; 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren and son-in-law, Eddie Shoop. Family will receive friends at the AREHART ECHOLS FUNERAL HOME, 211 St. Mary's Ave., LaPlata, MD, today, March 6 from 2 to 4 aand 6 to 8 p.m. with prayers at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Monday, March 7 at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Issue, MD at 11 a.m. Interment will take place in the church cemetery.

I only had the pleasure of knowing Mrs. Quade for the five weeks I spent as a nursing student at the Charles County Nursing and Rehab center. In that five weeks she had a great impact on my life. On my first night working at CCNRC I selected Mrs.Quade as my permanent patient. In caring for her she changed my view on many aspects of my life including my marriage, my children and my career choice of nursing. She was a wonderful person and I feel that I was very blessed to have spent the time that I did with her.
